TADD(Tsubamex Auto Die Designsystem)

In 1982, Tsubamex tackled the development of the three-dimensional CAD/CAM system for the first time in Japan.In addition, in 1998, Tsubamex succeeded in the large-scale customization of CATIA, a three-dimensional operating software developed by a French company. Tsubamex developed a highly sophisticated and fully three-dimensional design

system called the Tsubamex Auto Die Design System (TADD). The advantages of three-dimensional design are that everyone can see it and everyone can understand it. The practical realization of TADD, which combines a broad range of expandability and flexibility, has resulted in shorter delivery times than ever before and gaining high customer trust.

TADD manages data consisting of more than 200 types of parts used in stamping dies and more than 600 types of parts according to a standard. Each part is prepared in the form of a solid to meet the request of a designer. The standard parts program is output not through the library, but through the program; it is possible to output many types of parts, which enables us to flexibly build dies and molds.

TADD expanded the CATIA functions for use in die and mold design as follows:
To offset trim two-dimensional continuous lines

・To easily transfer parts
・To generate solid shapes
・To automatically generate hole shapes
・To automatically arrange structural parts

Upgrading these functions resulted in semi-automatic die and mold design, making it possible to complete die design in one-fifth the time compared with traditional two-dimensional die and mold design. In addition, TADD achieved the automatic output of three-dimensional drawings, including the automatic output of dimension lines, drawing frames, and three-dimensional drawings of solids.

NCデータ自動作成プログラム

CAD and CAM, which used to require different design work, have been integrated seamlessly by automatically giving the NC machining data to a solid model, resulting in a substantial reduction in cost and a significant enhancement of productivity. A solid model designed with TADD has three machining attributes, including three NC, basic machining, and hole drilling attributes, and the model can be turned over to an NC machine as is, where the cutting operation is automatic. Here, it is possible to add complex machining attributes for three-dimensional laser machining. In addition, a solid model is provided with specifically defined values for three-dimensional laser measurement, resulting in highly accurate measurements.
